Seb Wesson’s new album The Man From the Moon is his first solo full album release.

It’s a 10 track album featuring songs all predominantly written on a trusty Martin D28 acoustic by Seb and writing began in 2017 after the ‘Tigers Ep’ release.

The record was written and produced by Seb and was mixed and Mastered by Jo Webb. The Man From the Moon features layered multi tracked vocals, electric and acoustic guitars, as well as warm keyboard textures, killer rhythm sections, and experienced songwriting that make up this debut album.

Song topics include an Alien, losing a loved one, Japanese Tsunamis, Elliott Smith, relationships, tumultuous political times and all song lyrics are drawn from personal experiences.

After the demos and arrangements were completed, All the drum tracks were then recorded at the Feeling’s studio in east london (the Dog House), then all Seb’s vocals and guitars were tracked in his home studio and most other parts were recorded by their various players and sent over via email and dropbox (Thank goodness for the modern times we live in). The acoustic Piano was tracked in Ciaran’s living room. It’s the piano that features heavily on ‘12 Stops Til’ Home’ The Feeling’s debut album. Then everything was collected together into projects in Logic by Seb and roughed out before being handed to Jo Webb for final mixing.

A Couple of fun facts:

Most of the tracking done in Seb’s home studio was done with a single Shure SM7B Mic given to him by his brother and the main guitar amp for the album is a 1968 Fender Pro Reverb that was found dumped outside of a London guitar shop with the trash. Seb rescued it and it was rebuilt by his good friend and another musical collaborator Luke Scurr.

Live/gigs:

In 2023 Seb has been touring in support of this new release as opening act for Nik Kershaw. Including 10 dates in Germany in April/May and a handful of UK dates. This autumn see him open solo for the sold out Nik Kershaw UK tour. 11 dates in England and Scotland with the London date being at London’s iconic Shepherds Bush Empire. More shows including a full band London date and a visit to the Netherlands and Germany again to follow in October/November 2023.
